Scripture: II Timothy 3:16
Broadcast date: 02/01/2016

“The Bible, without question, is the Holy Word of God.
A miraculous Book. Read it and find out how miraculous it truly is! “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

Did you know that the Bible is a miraculous Book? Well, it is. And do you know why it is? Because it is the one and only Book that God has given us. The scriptures speak to that in II Timothy 3:16, 17. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” So the Bible claims to be the Holy Word of God, and then demonstrates it in a thousand ways. One miracle is its very composition. For instance, it was written over a period of 1,500 years by 40 different men through whom God spoke; and when it was combined, it did not have a single error or contradiction. That is a miracle. If you get two politicians together they will be fighting over something within minutes. And for all of its diversity in writers, the Bible has just one central theme, redemption and salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Every last writer puts the spotlight on the Lamb of God who shed His blood for the sins of the world. (I John 1:7). How come?
Because God is the Author and He used holy men of God as secretaries who wrote as God led them. Another reason I believe the Bible is a miraculous book is the fact that it has withstood fierce opposition from day one, that is, in the Garden of Eden Satan tried to destroy the Word of God—but to no avail. Infidels and skeptics have tried to discredit the Bible but always without any success. Up to this very hour we have professors attacking the Bible, but the Book always stands every blow that Satan can hurl at it. Someone has so well written: I stood one evening by the blacksmith’s door, and looking in I saw upon the floor old hammers worn with years of beating time. How many anvils have you had, said I, to wear and beat these hammer so? “Just one, the blacksmith said with twinkling eye, The anvil wears the hammers out, you know.” And so me thought the anvil of God’s Word. For ages skeptic blows have beat upon, and though the sound of clanging blows is heard, the anvil is unharmed; the hammers gone.

So for centuries Satan has tried to discredit the Bible, but to no avail. Do you know if we were to take the Bible into court, we could call witnesses without number that the Bible is the Word of God. We could call the witness of Jesus Christ, the witness of archaeology, the witness of prophecy, the witness of science, the witness of history, the witness of the Dead Sea Scrolls, the witness of transformed lives, and many, many more. The Bible, without question, is the Holy Word of God—a miraculous Book. Read it!
