Scripture: Psalm 40:1-3 | Hebrews 7:25
Broadcast date: 01/30/2017

Did you hear about the patient who was waiting for his appointment? He began leafing through a copy of WHO’S WHO IN AMERICA. After several moments he closed the book. A patient seated next to him asked if he was looking for his name or someone else. “No,” he replied sadly, “I’m listed in WHO’S THROUGH.” Isn’t that sad? My guess is that he didn’t know Jesus, for if he had, his attitude would have been totally different.
We see that played out in the life of David who felt the same way until he came to put his trust in the Lord God. Listen to him tell about it: “I waited patiently for the Lord, and he inclined unto me and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.” (Psalm 40:1-3).

Did I hear someone say, “Yes, I would like to come to Jesus, but my sins are too many. God would never take me in. It’s just too late.” If that is what you are thinking, well, I have news for you. The Bible tells us, “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him (Jesus). (Hebrews 7:25). I hope you are saying, “I want to come to Jesus, but I don’t know how.” Let me tell you how. Just in your own words confess to Jesus that you have sinned, then ask Him to come into your heart and take away your sins. Promise to love Him and follow Him. Then thank Him. If you prayed that prayer, you will be saved. And do you know what else? You will be listed in the Who’s Who in Heaven, where it really counts for something!
