WHAT'S YOUR GOAL?
Have you ever heard about the cartoon character, Charlie Brown? They tell about how he had struck out for the fourth time in the same game. In deep despair he cries out, Lucy! I'll never make it. All my life I've dreamed of playing in the big leagues. But I know I'll never make it!

Charlie, she answered, You have to have a goal. For instance, see if you can walk out to the pitcher's mound without falling down!

A goal. Yes, Charlie Brown needs a goal in life; but then, every last one of us needs to have a goal. But what will it be? Something dealing with our weight, our tongue, our money, what? Well, I have some good news for you about a goal that, without a doubt, is the highest, the loftiest, the most important goal the world has ever heard. And it yields dividends that are out of this world! It is a goal that Jesus gave us in His Sermon on the Mount. Listen to it: seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness: And if we make that our goal, He will bless us and supply all our needs. (Matthew 6:33). Charlie Brown needs a goal, and so do you, and so do I.
