ARE YOU A BIGOT?
Have you heard about the young lady, Janie, who took a new job as a secretary? A few days later she was having lunch with her longtime friend, Margie. After a few minutes, Margie asked her how she liked her new boss.

“Well,” Janie said, “I think he’s all right, but he’s kinda bigoted.” “Wow,” Margie exclaimed,” What do you mean, bigoted?” Janie explained, “Well, he thinks that words can only be spelled one way!”
You know what? This illustration teaches us that being bigoted is not always wrong. As a matter of fact, sometimes it is a mark of valor; sometimes it is all important that we are bigoted. It is essential, it is imperative that we take the role of a bigot!
How so? Well, listen to the words of Jesus in John 14:6, which reads, “Jesus saith unto them, I am the way, the truth, and the life: NO MAN cometh unto the Father, but by me.” There is only one way to say it, only one way to spell it, clear as a bell, as plain as day—there is only one way to heaven and that is through Jesus. The apostle Peter said it the same bigoted way. Listen to him tell the Sanhedrin, and all the world along with it, “Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12).

Friend, I am proud to be a bigot in that sense. There is only one way to spell it, the ONLY way to heaven is through Jesus!
