“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” Are you having a hard day, are there troubles and trials plaguing you? Well, just stay where you are because God knows and He cares, just lean upon Him and take heart.
Psalm 55 is a Psalm about David and a man. We do not know who he was, but David trusted him. The man turned out to be a louse who conspired against David and tried to dethrone him. He almost succeeded so that David could not escape the pressure, and we hear him cry, “O that I had wings like a dove! For then I would fly away and be at rest.”
(Psalm 55:6). Then David turned to God, he cast all his care upon the Lord because he knew God would sustain him, and guess what–God did help him in his troubles. God DID care! PHIL JOHNSON puts it so well. “The eyes of the Lord are upon me, He sees everything I do. The arms of the Lord are around me, He keeps me safe and secure. And although there are times I stepped out of His will, I’ve never been out of His care!”
Peter said the very same thing. “Casting all your care upon him; for He careth for you.” (I Peter 5:7)
Are you having a hard day, are there troubles and trials plaguing you? Like David, do you wish you “had wings like a dove” and could fly away? Well, just stay where you are because God knows and He cares. Just lean upon Him and take heart.
