WHICH WAY ARE YOU LOOKING?
You might say, “What difference does it make?” Well, it can make all the difference in the world! It surely did for Asaph.

Asaph was one of King David’s musicians. He was a godly man but found himself in the doldrums. He writes about his anguish of soul in the 77th Psalm where he tells us, “I am so troubled that I cannot speak.” (vs 4).His troubles and trials were so fierce that it left him speechless! And then he looked to God and found help. He sums it up with the beautiful statement, “who is so great a God as our God?” (vs. 13).

In other words, when he looked up, when he looked to God, it changed his life, his attitude, his reason for living. Yes indeed it matters which way we look. The writer to the Hebrews puts it this way, “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2).
Do as Asaph did. Look to Jesus, and you will never be the same again!
