Dear fellow worker of the Christian Worship Hour:
We all remember the story of Job who was intensely wealthy and was dedicated to God. God said of Job, “There is none like him in all the earth, a perfect and upright man, one that feareth God and escheweth evil.” Job 1:8.
This great man of God gave the following statement:
“For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last
on the earth; and after my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in
my flesh I shall see God, Whom I shall see for myself, and my
eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns with-
in me!” Job 19:25-27 NKJV
Job said, ‘I KNOW’. There were a lot of things Job did not know. He did not know why he had lost all of his children, possessions, servants, and was on an ash pile about to die! Yet he declares, “I KNOW”. If we have lived any time at all we will encounter hard things we do not understand, that make no sense. Yet we can always say with Job, “I KNOW”. Romans 8:28.
Job said, ‘I KNOW I HAVE A REDEEMER”. Job knew that someone would come to redeem him from his sins. Job knew that it would all happen in God’s time. Today we live with a full knowledge of the Redeemer because we live after the cross. It is the joy of our life to know the Redeemer personally. Rev. 1:18.
Job said, “I KNOW MY REDEEMER LIVES”. We don’t go to the cemetery to worship our Redeemer! Yes, He was once in the cemetery for three days and three nights, but that was the end of it! He is alive and lives in our hearts by His Spirit. Praise God! Acts 2:24.
Job said, “I KNOW MY REDEEMER SHALL COME”. “He shall stand at last on earth”. Job just knew in his heart and soul that his Redeemer would come to redeem him! Jesus came in the fullness of time, shed His blood on the cross, was dead, and raised the third day! We thank and praise Him for that. I Thess. 4:16.
Job said, ‘I KNOW I SHALL LIVE AGAIN”. When Job uttered these words he thought he was dying. But Job knew, no matter what, he would live again. How did he know that? God revealed it to his heart. So Jesus has promised us; we will live again! We have the same confidence Job had. John 14:19.
Job said, ‘I KNOW I SHALL SEE GOD”. That is what he wanted more than anything else, and that is what we all want more than anything else—to see God personally. So many of our loved ones have looked upon the Savior, have touched Him, and talked to Him. I can hardly wait. I John 3:2.
Job said, “I KNOW I SHALL BE SATISFIED”. “How my heart yearns within me!” In other words, that longing in my soul will be satisfied when I am safe at home with Jesus. That deep desire we have had all our life will be satisfied when we see Him, face to face! I Corinthians 13:12.
I often wonder how many viewers we have who do not know Jesus! How much they miss in this life, and in the life to come!
Friend, we are counting on your PRAYERS, GIFTS, TELLING OTHERS for us to carry on for our Risen Christ.
God bless you, everyone!
Sincerely in Christ,
Harold E. Salem, Pastor
THANK YOU FOR WRITING…
Today I listened as you preached on television (Daystar), the validity of the Bible and how archeology and science confirms the truth and the history of the scriptures. This was quite a well prepared and comprehensive message.
I have been going to order “The Heart of a Shepherd” and my husband said we could get one for each of our children (7). Thank you very much for your ministry! We will be praying for you!
GRAND FORKS, NORTH DAKOTA
You are the inspiration to every one of us who are believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. With your age you are going strong in the work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Love to watch your TV program on Daystar. Greetings and blessings from Papua, New Guinea.
PAPUA, NEW GUINEA
I enjoy your letters you share with us. It’s nice to hear from other Christians. I enjoy your emphasis on Jesus sermons. Your mother did a good job of you. Bless her.
SIOUX CITY, IOWA
By hearing these aged people who wrote in to you, I feel jealous of them but at the same time my faith has grown exceedingly. It is because this ministry is God’s anointed ministry. It reflects the intimate relationship with the Savior. I am spiritually blessed to have you as my preacher by Short Wave radio. Please pray for me because I am sinking in the mire of despair.
We have been blessed by your ministry for decades! I know of many homebound people who have found Christ via your telecast! Please send me two videos, “Heart of a Shepherd” for us to share among those in our sphere of influence. Neither of us has the gift of articulation and so we need the “crutch” of your video to help us share the Word!
I ordered “Heart of a Shepherd” for myself months ago. I found it a tremendous blessing and a true cut-to-the chase ministry tool! I am requesting 12 more DVD’s to give friends and neighbors. Thank you for your great ministry!
Please call me when you find the scripture that reveals what angels wear?
When I was in the hospital for my stroke, the nurse turned on the TV to Christian Worship Hour. I have watched the program ever since.
STORM LAKE, IOWA
It means a lot to hear your closing each week. “The Christian Worship Hour loves you and Jesus loves you, I love you, God bless us everyone!” I wait for that loving closure each week. I really feel you are looking right at me through the T.V. Means a lot to a lonely guy in prison. Thank you! See you Sunday morning!
We have enjoyed your DVD “Heart of a Shepherd” so much and would like to send one to each of our five children. We recently lost our precious daughter. She would have also enjoyed it, but she is rejoicing with Jesus now. Hallelujah! Thank you.
PUEBLO WEST, COLORADO
I am writing on behalf of my father. Thank you for the joy you have brought into my dad’s and many other people’s lives. God bless you.
“And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”
