"A New Song" April 2022

Bible Study
Pastor Salem’s desire was to tell the world of the saving grace of Jesus Christ and to encourage believers in their faith.  It is our hope this classic New Song Bible Study from the writings of Pastor Salem will be a blessing to you.

DEVOTIONAL BIBLE STUDY: “I Know My Redeemer Lives”

Dear fellow worker of the Christian Worship Hour:

We all remember the story of Job who was intensely wealthy and was dedicated to God.  God said of

Job, “There is none like him in all the earth, a perfect and upright man, one that feareth God and

escheweth evil.” (Job 1:8).

This great man of God gave the following statement:

“For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last on the earth;

and after my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in my flesh I shall see God,

Whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another.

How my heart yearns within me!”     Job 19:25-27 NKJV

  • Job said, “I KNOW”. There were a lot of things Job did not know.  He did not know why he had lost all of his children, possessions, servants, and was on an ash pile about to die!  Yet he declares, “I KNOW”.  If we have lived any time at all we will encounter hard things we do not understand, that make no sense.  Yet we can always say with Job, “I KNOW”.  (Romans 8:28).
  • Job said, “I KNOW I HAVE A REDEEMER”. Job knew that someone would come to redeem him from his sins.  Job knew that it would all happen in God’s time.  Today we live with a full knowledge of the Redeemer because we live after the cross.  It is the joy of our life to know the Redeemer personally.  (Revelation 1:18).
  • Job said, “I KNOW MY REDEEMER LIVES”. We don’t go to the cemetery to worship our Redeemer!  Yes, He was once in the cemetery for three days and three nights, but that was the end of it!  He is alive and lives in our hearts by His Spirit.  Praise God! (Acts 2:24).
  • Job said, “I KNOW MY REDEEMER SHALL COME”. “He shall stand at last on earth”.  Job just knew in his heart and soul that his Redeemer would come to redeem him!  Jesus came in the fullness of time, shed His blood on the cross, was dead, and raised the third day!  We thank and praise Him for that.  (I Thessalonians 4:16).
  • Job said, “I KNOW I SHALL LIVE AGAIN”. When Job uttered these words he thought he was dying.  But Job knew, no matter what, he would live again.   How did he know that?  God revealed it to his heart.  So Jesus has promised us; we will live again!  We have the same confidence Job had.  (John 14:19).
  • Job said, “I KNOW I SHALL SEE GOD”. That is what he wanted more than anything else, and that is what we all want more than anything else---to see God personally.  So many of our loved ones have looked upon the Savior, have touched Him, and talked to Him.              (I John 3:2).
  • Job said, “I KNOW I SHALL BE SATISFIED”. “How my heart yearns within me!”  In other words, that longing in my soul will be satisfied when I am safe at home with Jesus.  That deep desire we have had all our life will be satisfied when we see Him, face to face!     (I Corinthians 13:12).

Friend, we are counting on your PRAYERS, GIFTS, TELLING OTHERS for us to carry on for our Risen Christ.

God bless you, everyone!

In our Savior’s love,

Pastor Salem

Letters From Our Viewers

I am in my nineties and God has been so good to me.  I am so glad to see the Christian Worship Hour every Sunday morning.  I wish it were on 7 days a week. Thank you all for all you do to make this program possible.

NORTH DAKOTA

I truly enjoy your ministry.  Thank you for remaining faithful after Pastor Salem passed away.  I do like reading the New Song.  God bless you.

KANSAS

I am praying for the CWH ministry that it will reach people’s hearts and minds with the love of Jesus and lead millions to Christ as their personal Saviour!

TEXAS

For years I have worshipped with the Christian Worship Hour when I have been ill or unable to attend my home church.  I have always appreciated it for staying true to the gospel.  The program has provided great encouragement to me.

MISSOURI

Sundays mean great sadness for me as I spend the day alone.  I have come to depend on listening to CWH on American Family Radio to give me hope!  God bless!

OKLAHOMA

I wanted to let you know how much we appreciate CWH on Sunday morning.  Pastor Salem’s teachings are according to the Bible.  Too many times it seems the “society” wants to have the Bible taught to suit their life style instead of living according to the Bible.  Thank you.

IOWA

"And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them."
