"A New Song" JANUARY 2018

Bible Study

Dear fellow worker of the Christian Worship Hour:

“I AM the Light of the world; he that follows Me shall not walk in darkness,
but shall have the light of life.” John 8:12

Consider that glorious statement, “I AM the Light of the world.”

 THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD IS JESUS. The Jews would immediately think of the Pillar of Light that led their forefathers through the wilderness and now it is Jesus shining through all the world! The Psalmist said, “the Lord is my light” (Ps. 27:1). Isaiah declared there would be “a light to the Gentiles” (Isa. 49:8). No question about it, Jesus is the light of the world. (Isa. 9:23; John 1:4).
 THIS WONDERFUL LIGHT BRINGS US TO SALVATION. The whole world was lost in the darkness of sin. (Mat 4:15,16). I was one of them until, one night 86 years ago, I opened my heart to Jesus and the Light of the World saved my soul and took me out of the devil’s kingdom of darkness into God’s Kingdom of Light! I pray to God if you haven’t done so, you will do it today! Call upon His Name and be saved. (Rom. 10:13; Rev. 3:20).
 THIS GLORIOUS LIGHT GUIDES US THROUGH LIFE. Jesus said that if we followed Him He would show us the way through life. (John 8:12). Life is a pilgrimage and we need a guide, Jesus is that Guide! (Ps. 119:105). When we travel with Jesus we find peace at heart. (John 14:27). We have companionship and fellowship with the Son of God and Christ’s presence is with us all through life. Can you imagine that? Walking with Jesus in the sunlight all through life knowing He is ever with us! (Heb. 13:5). So that gives us hope for tomorrow because, though we do not know what tomorrow holds, there isn’t anything that our dear Lord can’t handle. (Phil. 4:13). There it is, “he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness!” But there is a catch to all of this, and that is we have to be committed to the Lord and dedicated to Him. (Ps. 36:9; John 1:9).
 THIS BEAUTIFUL LIGHT LEADS US TO HEAVEN AND HOME! You know what, that wonderful light grows brighter day by day! (Prov. 4:18). As we walk with the Lord He becomes more real, closer, brighter. And that continues as He leads us through this wilderness journey, just look at how many ways He led David. (Psalm 23). Well, He will do for you and me what He did for David, if we just cooperate. And then will come that day when we walk that last mile and heaven will begin to shine in a beauty we cannot describe. (I Cor. 2:9). Have you seen the Light? If not, ask Jesus to come into your heart and wash away your sins, and the Light of the world will be your companion until you are safe at home!
So, we are a team of believers scattered all over the world. We are part of the Body of Christ on earth, while some of our group is in heaven, we are still a part of the Body, that team. (Eph. 1:10).
And you know what else? We all need each other. We have to pray for this ministry and we have to give. As a gentle reminder, we have no other source of income but from our people who worship with us and believe we are doing God’s work. We ask you to pray about your gift, then give us as God leads. If God wants us to prosper and enlarge, we will do as He provides. (Luke 12:48).
God bless you. I’ll be looking for you this weekend!

Letters From Our Viewers

THANK YOU FOR WRITING…
I was so happy when I found the worship hour on TV as I do not get to church because of finding a ride. When I heard you preaching salvation only through Jesus Christ, through His shed blood and Calvary’s message made me praise and shout, Thank you Lord for your faithful servants preaching the truth of your Word. Please send me the New Song.
FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA

My wife and I are still enjoying your program. Brother Salem continue to preach about Jesus because HE IS THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN. YOURS IN OUR SAVIOR’S NAME.
ABACO, BAHAMAS

I thank God that you come into our lives each week when we listen to your sermons every Saturday. Not all preachers preach the Word so that is why we get a lot out of each of your sermons. May God bless you. Love, your Brother and Sister in Christ.
MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE

You help me. You’ve already changed my life by 100%. I always say get the coffee ready and my Bible reading, it is time for happy time. I love to watch you. You have a way to make things much better. I’ve been disabled and have PTSD since Viet Nam. This is the first time I’ve really seen the words and understand them. Thank you!
AUSTIN, MINNESOTA

I am daily in the Bible and prayer. Fellowship is a little hard to come by right now being I am locked down 23 hours a day until I get to general population. Then I will be able to attend a regular service with other believers. I remember a letter you wrote me months before getting here about talking to one man at a time about Jesus while here. Kind of use my time as a missionary for Jesus. I pray daily God use me, speak through me to tell others about Jesus and to repent and change their ways. Please pastor, pray for me.
DEER LODGE, MONTANA

I can remember my mother having the TV on to your program before we went to church way back in the early 80’s. May God continue to bless this ministry.
SIOUX FALLS, SOUH DAKOTA

I am so encouraged to see someone older who is finishing STRONG. It is so sad to see so many older people who think that now they can’t do anything for the Lord. But as long as God gives us life, we can all do something.
GOODRIDGE, MINNESOTA

I love the way you are so true to Jesus Christ and to His Word! It is exciting that people all over the world are hearing you and committing their lives to Christ Jesus and that we will all see one another with Jesus in eternity! We can surely rejoice that our names are written in heaven! Joy and love in Christ Jesus.
CENTEREACH, NEW YORK

My late father, who lived to the age of 102, also enjoyed and was blest by watching your program. In His care.
MCINTOSH, MINNESOTA

This is my first time tithing. I know it is not much but it’s a start. I hope we can become friends.
GLENDALE, ARIZONA

Many times your message seems to be directed at me. I regard this as a blessing because we are searching for the truth and your message helps me understand.
LECOMPTON, KANSAS

Dear Pastor Salem and the entire worship crew. Thank you for providing access online to the message from the Bible, the inspired Word of God. It spans the globe, dropping a signal to Anaktuvuk Pass, Alaska. I listen almost every Sunday before going to church and the message always is a blessing. I try to take something I learn here to church to share with others. May God continue to richly bless you all as you serve our Father. Thanks to Jesus.
ANAKTUVUK PASS, ALASKA

Please pray for me. I am a sinner. For the grace of God but for the love of Jesus Christ. Pray for me so I can find Jesus in my heart. P.S. Thank you for Christian Worship Hour.
SYLVANIA, GEORGIA

Memorials

“And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”
