Dear fellow worker of the Christian Worship Hour:
I just read a verse today that I want to share with you:
“The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil
and the good.” Proverbs 15:3
GOD SEES US WHEN WE SERVE HIM. That service may be preaching from a pulpit or witnessing from a sick bed. We all can serve the Lord in one way or another. The little widow woman who “threw in two mites, which make a farthing” honored God through-out the world for all time! (Mark 12:41-44). When we give our service to God we never know how far it will go! Our service will always bear fruit. (Isaiah 55:11). (Psalm 126:6).
GOD SEES US WHEN WE CRY. Sometimes the tears come running down our cheek while the heart nearly breaks. Maybe a loved one is taken or sorrows stack up before us, no matter what, God sees it and knows all about. We may be like the Children of Israel in Egypt, they thought God had forgotten them, but not so, He knew their sorrows. (Ex 3:7). Hagar, in sorrow said, “Thou God seest me.” (Genesis 16:13). (Psalm 139:7-12).
GOD SEES US WHEN WE ARE TEMPTED. We all have our temptations and Satan never gives up on us–even King Solomon, in his old age, was tempted, and failed! So Jesus prays for us when the devil wants to get us to fall. He is a wonderful High Priest “set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens.” When we fail, Jesus freely forgives us. (I John 1:9). God’s grace goes beyond all of our sins, past, present & future! (Rom. 5:20).
GOD SEES US WHEN WE ARE DISCOURAGED. Some of these super-duper Christians say we must never become discouraged, but some of the greatest believers in all the world became discouraged, like the mighty prophet Elijah who was so discouraged he wanted to die out in the wilderness under a juniper tree! (I Kings 10:4-8). God sees us when we become downhearted and whispers to us, “be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33). Jesus is always there to help us! (Matt. 28:20).
GOD SEES US WHEN WE ARE LONELY. The Psalmist felt that way until he began to realize that God saw everyone, everywhere, and that included him—and you and me as well. The Psalmist goes to great length to talk about God’s presence being with him no matter what! (Psalm 139:1-24). And if that isn’t good enough, read Hebrews 13:5. God always keeps His Word and if He says something, you can count on it, big time!
GOD SEES US WHEN WE COME TO DIE. “There comes a time for all of us when we have to say ‘good-bye’ to everyone—everyone that is, except Jesus because He never leaves us or forsakes us. David spoke of that when he said, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: FOR THOU ART WITH ME.” (Psalm 23:4). So, if Jesus is with us, it is never a bad day. As a matter-of-fact, death will be a wonderful experience. St. Paul said, “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is GAIN.” (Philippians 1:21). God assures us that, “Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord.” (Rev. 14:13). Yes, indeed, “the eyes for the Lord are in every place.” Praise God!
We have a wonderful hope in Jesus. But how about the multitudes on the broad road that leads to destruction—they do not know Christ! So the ministry and the message, the one message alone, is that Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world and rose again so that the world can come to Him if they want. Our responsibility is to get the good news of the gospel out—their responsibility is to believe.
So, thanks for your prayers and your gifts. We are in this together. You PRAY and GIVE and I’ll preach like a house on fire! I’ll do my best, but I am counting on you to also do YOUR best. Remember, it’s a team effort and every man has to do his part to make it work!
In our Savior’s Love,
Harold E. Salem, Pastor
THANK YOU FOR WRITING…
Last Sunday when you read the letters, you had a brother that wrote in that he felt like you were right there talking just to him. I also feel that and always have. I thank God for you and all the Christian Worship Hour. You all have changed my life forever. God bless you all.
Thank you all for the Christian Worship Hour. It’s the highlight of my week and helps keep me close to Jesus. I feel ready to face another week.
I have sent the DVD’s to some of my family who are in Scotland and am praying that they will be saved!!! Thank you. Keep on preaching the Word of God. Love you with Jesus Christ’s love. Your sister in Christ Jesus.
I started watching about a month ago and you have really helped me find my way back to Jesus. Thank you.
COPALIS BEACH, WASHINGTON
My husband and I retired to our mountain home 12 years ago after being a pastor for 27 ½ years. We are 76 now, and just think you are old enough to be our father. My husband doesn’t pastor but preaches for other pastors occasionally and does funerals and weddings. God bless you—Keep on preaching the truth of God’s Word.
MOUTH OF WILSON, VIRGINIA
My wife for 61 years. About 10 years ago, she had a stroke. She couldn’t sit in church. We found you on T.V. and have had you on for the last 10 years. She passed away on Nov. 30th, 2018. She is with the Lord now and I am just waiting for my time. With all of her sins behind her and I know all of mine are behind me. I pray for you and your crew. Thank you for your prayers. I’m thankful for the memories of wife. In Christ.
Would you please mail me 3 DVD’s of “Heart of a Shepherd”? I did prison ministry for about thirty years and still do some. I’m almost 82 but never plan to stop serving the most Wonderful Jesus. I wanted to put it into the hands of an AA meeting plus other places. God’s blessings on you and your staff.
Dear Pastor Salem, we love the Christian Worship Hour! I’m so thankful for you and your crew. I’m also thankful for your messages and that you say you love us all! We love you too! With love and appreciation.
WEBSTER, SOUTH DAKOTA
Good Morning from New Zealand. I would like to say thank you for your friend request on Facebook, as I’m feeling deeply honored and grateful by it. At first I had to make sure that it was really you, low and behold it surely is you. I get to watch Christian Worship Hour every so often on the Christian channels here on Sky TR in New Zealand.
I want to take a minute to thank you for your wonderful program. I’m a 70-year-old woman who is handicapped and hardly goes out! I have been blessed to have stumbled upon the Christian Worship Hour. Thank you so much. In Christ.
ALBANY, NEW YORK
Thank you Pastor Salem for your Sunday show. Me and my girlfriend watch every Sunday. We are Russian Orthodox Christians. We don’t have a priest to run our church. Thank you. Enclosed is offering. Please send us “Heart of a Shepherd”.
PORT GRAHAM, ALASKA
“And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”
