Scripture: Eph. 1:7
Broadcast date: 06/27/2016

“In whom we have redemption through His blood.” Every last one of us have broken God’s Law and deserve hell, but the grace of God sent His son so that, through faith in Him, we have eternal life, which is a gift from God. Thank God for His grace.

Eph. 1:7
I read an account the other day that is hard to believe, but it is true.  A police officer stopped a woman because he noticed that her young daughter was in the back seat without a booster seat. She didn’t have one because she was a single mother and she just did not have the money to buy the seat.  So she was arrested.   But instead of giving her a fine, the policeman asked her to drive over to a certain store and meet him there.  Whereupon the policeman bought the woman a booster seat for her child.

I thought, that is an excellent illustration of the grace of God.  This woman deserved a ticket, but instead she got a gift!  You know that is precisely what God did for us.  We were lawbreakers, but instead of condemning us, He gave us His grace.  So we read in Ephesians 1:7, “In whom we have redemption through His blood.” Every last one of us have broken God’s Law and deserve hell, but the grace of God sent His son so that, through faith in Him, we have eternal life, which is a gift from God.

Thank God for His grace.
