Scripture: Hebrews 13:5
Broadcast date: 09/26/2016

Little Nancy proudly announced to her grandmother, “Did you know that God is left-handed?” “My goodness child, who on earth ever told you that?” “Well, the way I figured that out is because in the Bible it tells us Jesus is sitting on God’s right hand!” Nancy had been in Sunday School and in her childlike way just believed whatever God said. That, my friend, is how we all ought to live. That is if God says it, we ought to believe it. As someone has said, “Where God puts a period, we must never put a question mark!”

For instance, when God tells us that He will “never leave us or forsake us,” we need to take that at face value. If we do, we will save a lot anxiety and worry. Ira D. Sankey expresses it perfectly. “Trusting Him while life shall last, Trusting Him till earth be past, Till within the jasper wall, Trusting Jesus, that is all.” Children do that all the time, even to the point of making God left-handed.
